Today I want to talk to you about these armchairs that have become the most photographed in museums, fairs in the sector and in collectors’ houses.
They are important pieces and at the same time they seem to be within the reach of everyone, so comfortable and playful, inspired by the children’s chairs which are chaotic while they’re playing with different peluches. I find them simply genius! The authors of these projects are: Humberto and Fernando Campana, two brothers, designers who work together for the creation of décor and particular objects, often using everyday materials.
Their production is halfway between industrial design and handicraft, indeed, in many of their works they use second-hand object and re-use items and for this reason the works become in turn Limited Edition, because it’s impossible to reproduce others with the same materials and this is also the reason why prices are very high.
I frequently came across their unique arts in these years, often unconscious that they were theirs, but I find them innovative and original.
They collaborated with great international design companies and their works of art are exposed in museum and galleries all over the world, including the MOMA of NY.
Each armchair has a particular history, one is also dedicated to Fendi, is the one in the big picture of the Moodboard: THE ARMCHAIR OF THOUSAND EYES, born from a particular collaboration with the Maison.
The structure is in stainless steel, covered with a canvas where the stuffed animals are hand-sewn one by one giving life to these funny projects.
I really love them, what about you? Would you put some of these chairs in your home?
See you next time… with Style! Definitely yours!
